Field Service Engineer – Medical Devices

Job Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Field Service Engineer to join our Technical Service team and support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical support of our advanced medical device portfolio.

• Installation & Commissioning: Install, configure, commission, and perform functional testing of medical equipment at customer sites.
• On site and remotely troubleshooting and repairs: diagnose and resolve electrical, electronics, mechanical, software and system-related technical issues and conduct regular service visits to healthcare facilities ensuring the effective operation of medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company procedures.
• Customer Training: Train healthcare professionals and end users in the correct and safe operation of the equipment, when required.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, intervention reports, and other required technical documentation.
• Spare Parts & Service Materials: Identify required spare parts and service materials and support their efficient management and availability.
• Manufacturer Communication: Liaise with international manufacturers and technical support teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure effective resolution.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Sales, Clinical, Marketing, Regulatory, and Service teams to ensure excellent customer support and smooth implementation of products.
• Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with customers and healthcare professionals.
• Compliance: Ensure that all technical activities are carried out in accordance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, quality requirements, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or another medical device-focused technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in medical devices, biomedical equipment, field service, technical support, or a related industry.
• Customer-focused with a professional and service-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
• Good knowledge of computers and standard computer programs.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a practical and hands-on approach.
• Willingness to learn and continuously develop technical knowledge in advanced medical technologies.
