I enjoyed my regular customers and some of my co workers but when management allows the kitchen staff to run things it causes problems. I liked my set schedule.

Good place to learn the restaurant fast

This was my first restaurant job and it was quite easy to move positions if you wanted too, when I first arrived management was good, by the time I left questionable. I learned a lot during my time there and would say it’s was more positive then negative, also really throws you into the restaurant world so once you leave if you decide too, you’ll find that a lot of restaurants run the same, usually better then chilis tbh but it’s still a good starter to learn lol cooks don’t get paid a lot at all, they make minimum wage with a small percent of the tip out, you can expect a $800 check at the highest is you work there full time as a cook, food runners make good money full time and is the most fun job to have, host don’t make tips only minimum wage, food expediting is also very fun and helps you learn leadership on a line but doesn’t make good money compared to food runners, Togo can make pretty good tips if it’s a busy night, servers make mid amount of tips compared to other places but keep in mind it’s chilis so clientele is a factor. Used to be fun, now just isnt

okay starter job

very messy job and has a lot of rumors to say that we are all adults and not in high school anymore. the pay is great but the hours are horrible. FOH manager is great, others not so well.

It's what you expect

It's a serving job. Decent tips if you are in the right section and do well with your tables. Hours can be long and you go home smelling like fajitas.

Hard, extremely hard.

Worked as good runner, and I had many fast food jobs with angry people so I’m used to difficulties. I learned so many positions and this position is absolutely horrible. Everyday I would be exhausted and beat up after work. Managers were okay but get snappy when you don’t know what to do or who you’re working with, I wouldn’t work here ever again. Managers pick FAVORITES and if you don’t make the cut they assign you bad shifts and even make you do closing alone. Nothing was enjoyable.

Hi stress, hard for promotion, rough customers in Port management

What is the best part of working at the company?Nothing. No advancement too much nepotism they only promote people less experienced. They’re also ageist. Very immature environment.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?As a bartender, you have to deal with customers I’ve dealt with threats. Chilies will not call security or police management will not help. Safety is definitely a big concern.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Immature like I said. They would rather staff up untrained than promote than with an experienced that keep a handful that are willing to make it happened for them. They will fire people unnecessarily before they see that the managements the problem. You also have to have payments with the devices. Sometimes they crash and people walk out without paying and management will hold you accountable. It happens a lot.What is a typical day like for you at the company?High stress, dealing with walkouts no help. They created an competitive environment or employees. Can’t even get along. The mentality is definitely definitely not positive.

Hours are a nightmare, Managers play favoritism.

I was holding off to write a review until I’ve worked awhile here, and I’ll say, the favoritism and blunt lack of care is astonishing. Managers could care less about you, unless you’re an immediate asset to them, training is simply not training but throwing you in and expecting good performance after they deem appropriate. Hours are a complete hot MESS, they say full-time but trust me you will not be full-time.

Great people needs work. Great for teens. Great for weekends. Tip out 5% of sales. Plenty of tables if busy. Fun staff. Free food on doubles. But still needs work

Amazing

Great place good money great staff amazing management. Clean work place flexible hours. Customers are sometimes rude but get ton of regulars that make the job fun

Working at Chili's got my foot in the door, but it came at a price.

•Typical day at work was hosting while bussing without getting tipped out for the bussing.•I learned not to trust management.•management is very cutthroat, if hurting you makes them look good, they'll do it in a heartbeat with a smile on their face.

Nice and supportive team

Very great staff who like to support eachother. I also enjoy the management, especially since they always have our backs. Nice discount also and very reasonable pay!

Just depends on your manager

I had a great manager but then he left and the new manager didn't work well with the employees. Fast paced work and it really helps if you learn the menu fast.

Alright

It was alright. Job is good for a highschool kid or someone in college looking for a part time job. Wouldn’t recommend if you have bills. Co workers were great.

I truly treasure the time I had working for Chilis bar and grill under Brinker International! The staff, guests, and overall experience was one of a kind!

Gross

Management is terrible. employees handle food with dirty hands and no gloves. Not a friendly environment. Health department gave them a D and they didnt try to actually fix the issues.

Weird

Easy job, but the managers played favorites and it was weird. The people who were there the longest got special treatment which isnt anything new, but they knew it and would take advantage of other people because of it.
