I enjoyed my regular customers and some of my co workers but when management allows the kitchen staff to run things it causes problems. I liked my set schedule.

Draining and lackluster in purpose

Working at chilis as a host is quite a good first job it brings in a decent amount of cash and the environment with the staff is mostly nice but what makes it draining and lackluster in purpose is the management and how they act towards their employees.

Good money

Good money and good workplace. Management is fine and honestly had no complaints. Customers make or break the shift but the money was always worth it in the end

Es, entusiasta, buen ambiente de trabajo.

It’s ok

The people you work with are nice. Very fast paced and stressful. Sometimes it feels like you get no help. Managers are nice overall. It can be a fun place to work if everything runs smooth.

It’s a job, you go In make money and leave. It’s a chilis what do you expect…………..nothing special. Run of the mill. Average. A job. Means to an end. .

Terrible

Horrible work environment. Nobody helps cover shifts. Always understaffed. Disrespectful management. Nasty kitchen environment. No food handlers card required

Good company

Chilis was a good company to work for. Learned alot and was able to switch between different positions.

Fun environment, strong and responsive management, ability to move up within the company

You’ll have lots of great regulars and make lots of $$$ while feeling like you’re just having fun! Management is good, they’re responsive and helpful if you communicate with them properly BEFORE things become a problem. Cut work is just cleaning your section and silverware, and I think as long as you don’t try to skimp on helping out and are a generally good coworker, you’re gonna have an awesome time. Loved being a chilihead!

Lots of tables=more money

Chilis prioritizes your customer surveys more than anythinb else. You must have 75% satisfaction with ALL TABLES or else you wont be serving anymore. They don’t understand that most customers write reviews when there is something wrong and they will not listen to you they think they know better than you. Besides the mangers the coworkers are nice and so are the tips

It's a difficult environment to work in, not a lot of incentive to stay.

I try to be a positive person but my day usually means repeating the same thing over and over and even when you try and hit every mark, you are penelized for things outside of your control. The employees who have been there longer are not necessarily supported to stay or even recognized for how they help keep others staying.

Okay

The environment was stressful I barely had any help and the customers were rude. Very quick turn around here. Mangers were either friendly or pushy and expect too much of you. Good first job overall

Great Company, as long as you work at the right store

The job overall is easy, but you deal with a lot of people so that may be difficult for some. It is also very physically demanding, but the payoff in tips is well worth it

It's been quite a ride!The day kicked off with the sizzle of fajitas in the kitchen – that unmistakable sound that gets everyone's appetite going. As a food runner, my job is to make sure those sizzling plates make it to the right tables at just the right moment.So, picture this: The lunch rush hit, and we were firing up those skillets left and right. I was zipping around, weaving through the busy kitchen like a dance. I'd grab a tray, load it up with steaming dishes of baby back ribs, sizzling fajitas, and those awesome loaded burgers. It's like a symphony of flavors, and my job is to make sure the timing is perfect.Of course, it's not all smooth sailing. There was this one moment when I almost collided with a server carrying a tower of crispy onion strings. We both managed to dodge disaster, and we had a good laugh about it later.The coolest part of my day is when I get to deliver the dishes to the tables. Seeing the smiles on people's faces when their food arrives – it's priceless. Whether it's a group of friends catching up over appetizers or a family celebrating a birthday with a molten chocolate lava cake, I get to be a part of those moments.But hey, it's not just about the food. It's about the teamwork in the kitchen, the hustle and bustle, and the energy that comes with making sure everyone leaves with a full belly and a happy heart. And let's not forget the occasional high-five from the chefs when we nail the timing just right.So, yeah, being a food runner at Chili's is a bit of a rollercoaster, -

Horrible.

Management is selfish and doesn't care for employee well being. They cut hours from pay so they would not get in trouble for working us over time every day. They never helped with any duties. There were two employees who brought weapons to work. We were not given a break on holidays.

It was the worse job ever managers were horrible they went out side and smoked weed also the cooks were extremely rude a lot of drama I learned nothing the most enjoyable part was interacting with guests

The work was fast paced. this is where you know if serving is for you. if you leave it only gets better. they throw you to the wolves to see if you can handle it.

Fun workplace

Best job ever. Loved being here every day. Free chips and dip for all. Daily lemonade for the team as well as breath mints. I lived taco Tuesdays. Best idea ever!

Productive work environment welcoming customers and keeping track of waitlists

A typical day at work is greeting customers, asking party size, and seating parties to servers and rotating through a good system that keeps customers satisfied and servers not overwhelmed. I learned how to solve problems quickly. The hardest part of the job was keeping waitlists short and customers happy. The most enjoyable part of the job was seating people and cleaning tables.

Decent place if you are good with people

It really depends on how good you are with people and if you can make sales to make good tips, but if you know how to do that then you can make pretty good money sometimes.
