bad management

I worked there full time at first then all of a sudden they started giving me fewer shifts and would never verbally explain anything. Communication is horrible

you can progress if the managers like you

At Dave and Buster's we only care about one thing: if the managers like you. it doesnt even have to pretain to the job. they constantly allow people to work here who don't even put in the work to get the job done. they instead lean on the fact that there are 4 good servers who are actually going to at least petened to not hate this job.

Odd work culture

Just about ever employee is sloppy and careless. It’s hard to blame the employees though because management is very unorganized, unprofessional and they fail to prioritize employees well being while in the workplace. It’s a great opportunity to learn a lot and there’s certainly a new challenge to face every day. This place offers a lot of potential for personal growth but often at the expense of your mental health.

Good people and great company

If your a server your gonna make horrible money. Most people don’t go there to eat and if they do they grab something from the bar cafe area and the bartenders run that area. If you’re an hourly employee it’s a great place to work.

Management and high turnover

The management team at my location is horrendous. They care more about their phones than the well being of their staff. There’s no such thing as teamwork when it comes to them, it very much a “I tell you what to do and you do it, I don’t care how busy or behind you are” kind of place. They won’t lift a finger or jump behind the bar or even run food to help their team, they don’t even touch tables. Work life balance does not exist here. You are expected to make the job your singular priority and you are not allowed to have a life outside of work. NO ONE gets properly trained and is expected to know and go above and beyond; everyone excluding the managers of course, who talk badly about their workers amongst themselves and have the absolute audacity to be rude and condescending to everyone that isn’t management. The most immature group of managers I’ve EVER had the displeasure of working for. My coworkers where great, the ones that didn’t leave because of management that is.

Is what it is folk

It's a gig, for a entry level cook. A fast causal setting. high volume that can be a learning curve for a novice cook, but nothing to difficult other than the rush.

Fun and Flexible Workplace

I loved working at Dave and Buster's in Corpus Christi! Everyone there is treated fairly and given good hours and great management. It was an easy job but gives you a lot of different experiences that are helpful for you to know.

Terrible management and unfairness extremely unprofessional

The employees and managers were extremely unprofessional and lazy, no one cared about cleanliness or good customer service, stealing and not showing up for mandatory cleaning meetings among many other things were over looked for the long term employees. Management never listened to issues or tries to resolve them for anyone. When there were situations the managers needed to attend to such as extremely intoxicated patrons or aggressive patrons ect they would avoid the situation and dissappear. Extremely lazy and unprofessional all around. Absolutely zero reward for dedicated hard working employees. The worst restaurant I've ever worked at, management didn't care and if others didn't do their cleaning and stocking from previous shifts I would come in and have to do double the work and there was no consequences for the employees who did not follow rules or do their job.

Fun work place

Very easy job. Has its busy days , the staff are just like family. Great tips when serving and being behind the bar. The food is great the people are fun and outgoing. Really great place to work

Temporary

If your looking to make a few fast dollars for a few months then ok, other than that This place is a hot mess and a miss. The management and organization is below average, there is NO team work or understanding between the employees and management. The training or lack thereof for new employees is sub par, sanitary issues and overall no moral. It is a bad place for people with mental health issues to work and do not come looking for career advancement, and don’t complain you will be fired or blackballed for scheduling and events

Not a Bad company

Company pays well, and corporate structure is fair. Hard to advance within. Management team at my location had some really great ones and some really bad.

One of my favorite jobs

This was my first serving job and I loved it. Menu is easy to remember and food is tasty. The hours are a bit stressful however you get used to it. I made good money at my location.

Cool i Guess

It's alright but I am unable to stick with the job due to personal reasons but the people were great it's just that I was expected to cover two jobs at once when I was barely able to cover my own job so that's it

They don't care unless you speak Spanish!

The management doesn't care. They don't give a care about workers. They play favorites and every employee is just a body to push out feckless and tasteless party food and it is a giant turn and burn restaurant. Turn and burn the entertainment too. Whatever is trending to push the sheep through the doors...

Such a fun job, great opportunity to make good money!

I absolutely loved my job at D&B! I worked at the one in Anchorage, AK while my husband was stationed there. Although I was thousands of miles away from my home, I felt like I made a little family at my job and it made me feel so much more at home. Management treated us good, my co-workers were amazing, and I made very good money.

Not worth the hype.

Managers are there for nothing more than a swip. The promise growth, but why promote a good employee, when you can just keep milking them and giving them more responsibilites.

Great Company just not in New Orleans

Don’t get me wrong it’s a great company to work for just not in New Orleans. The management team is horrible! One, they don’t know how to talk to people and they don’t give respect and you’re not paid enough to deal with their foolishness. I myself was placed on suspension because another team member called me a fa**ot I have not been able to return to work since and they still have me in the system. But refuse to do anything.

The atmosphere is fun bright and filled with excitement

This establishment is filled with excitement bright lights and fun. Some of the staff members are cool to work with. While some lack any work ethic. Managers are lazy and are hard to find at times (hide from staff members intentionally) staff members are over worked and not giving credit for going above and beyond! Security are always seen flirting with guest and staff members

Fun work place with staff and management to make you feel like family

Staff and Management make you feel like family here. Very fun environment with fair/competitive pay. If you’re a motivated and driven individual, progression for advancement is almost guaranteed here. Could not say enough good things about this company; other than being open until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays.. which is absolutely unnecessary.

Management sucks. Good pay

This is a very humbling job. Epitome of 'the customer is ALWAYS right'. The lack of management is almost comical considering the amount of managers there are. But if you can overlook all that, you will go home with full pockets.
