A good introduction on workforce
One of the main characteristics of working in the coffee making industry, is that you have to deal with people that are ''in a rush'' most of the times.
Sometimes this meant that they might be rude, pathetic or just react normally to the coffee-maker or cashier.
However as a store manager I had to bridge the gap between the employees, by enlightening the sense of teamwork, and between the employees and the customers, by trying to remain professional.
The customer is ''The King'' and I was always trying to balance unwanted situations in the working area by reminding that we have to be professionals, by all means.
The hardest part of the job was the shifts.
The shop used to open at 5am - 12am, and sometimes I had to deal with shift swaps.
The most enjoyable thing was that we had created a very friendly atmosphere between us, as a team, which made us enjoy our shifts.
What I did learn:
Employees do play the most important role within a company. A successful company has satisfied employees, and when they are satisfied they can give in the best of themselves.
