It was always busy. Always something to do, made the time fly. Management was amazing, they cared about their employees.

it used to be great

When I started working here I really like the job which was surprising since it was not something I thought I would be interested in. it’s a high stress job and can get very busy however your coworkers really make it worth it and I found that I met really great people working here. The managers at the start were great and very down to earth people who seemed to care about the employees. however since then they’ve replaced almost all of them and now there is a overwhelming feeling of toxicity. Very apparent favouritism and a disregard to employee complaints. Several of the newer people hired would not give great work and when they were observered or complained about nothing would happen. They were also paid a higher hourly then the people already working there. Sometimes given more hours as well. Ultimately I decided to leave when my pay had gotten docked two dollars for around 6 months when I cross trained into another position when others working the same title made 3 dollars more. There is an incentive that you get a raise every 6 months that is not entirely true I found out it’s based on the work you do in that time and if they don’t see you deserve it you don’t get it. Personally I saw many deserving employees get passed over for raises and make less than the rest of us when they put in more work and more time. All of this said it is not the worst place to work deciding to quit was a hard decision since this was a very enjoyable job for the most part. usually you can get good hours (never more than 40) and the employees were nice. however when I considered being under paid -

Over all one of the best places I've worked

Some days were were harder then others but over all its a health place to work. I made close friends and then had some not so friendly servers but as far as management goes it was pretty darn great there in 1 per department and almost all of them are understanding, caring, knowledgeable and all but 1 made me feel comfortable. From Work situations to personal medical issues they were great. I had some serious medical stuff come up and had to drop all my shifts last min and my manager I spoke to about it help me get them all covered and told me whenever I'm healthy and able to come talk to the GM. When I did just that his exact words were "take your time, get better. Do not worry about your job it will be waiting for you whenever you can come back" that by itself makes me wish I didn't have to leave. Unfortunately all good things come with some flaws. The pay just wasn't very competitive Unfortunately and new hires were making more then even my 6 month and yearly raises. A amazing co-worker of mine, the "mom" of the bakery if you would she was making more then me but the same as a new hire who was due for a 6 month 50 cent raise. After 15 years she still made so little. We did make tips and split them base off of hours you work but when they started including bakers and not just to-go, and cashier it just still wasn't enough to pay the bills. Not saying the bakers didn't deserve those tips because they work harder then anyone there aside the Cooks. It just still wasn't enough especially when they cut hours after the holidays. I had no choice but to leave. Another great thing was -

Bakery will be one of the hardest jobs you’ve ever had

I worked out at the St. Louis location, and to this day it was the hardest job I’ve ever had. Be prepared to be stressed, lift a bunch of heavy cheesecakes, and work long shifts. My first day was a Friday night and I left crying. Most days by the time I got off work I could hardly make it up to my apartment. The environment is extremely fast paced, and at the location I worked at the only breaks I ever got were sitting on the toilet, even working 12 hour shifts. Once, a coworker I had who was breast feeding couldn’t even take breaks to pump because they refused to bring more staff in to cover. The on site management was amazing, but I think the problems with staffing mostly came from corporate. The whole thing could’ve been a lawsuit, honestly, and we could’ve won. Most of the time working there it was either just me or me and one other person fulfilling 10-15k in just cheesecake orders every night. The culture at the restaurant was great, everybody was super friendly for the most part and everyone was willing to be part of the team and put their fair share in. The pay was okay and they worked well with my schedule as a college student. The company also has great benefits if you work full time, and for the most part they are pretty graceful when things happen and you need to take time off. I know the servers make BIG MONEY, but you have to go through a week of classes and be extremely well versed on the menu, as well as pass a shadow exam with another server to even get on the floor. They are extremely thorough about who makes it through and who doesn’t, so even if you get hired, -

Constantly understaffed and overworked

I have to stay late constantly due to understaffing. The manager offers no literally support. people still in training will be scheduled to work alone

Ghosted

After working for a couple of months the managers at Green Hills just completely ghosted me. I never got a reason, or formal notice. I still haven’t heard from them. I think it’s highly unprofessional, and reflects the work place as a whole.

Stressful work environment with trouble keeping employees due to poor manegement.

Absolutely awful

Horrible job. The bakery was known for the being the worst job in Cheesecake Factory besides dishwasher. The hours are long and they give you no breaks. It’s a lot of standing and very painful on the body. Way too many orders come in at once, it gets insanely hectic for hours at a time. The bakery is never properly staffed. Management expects so much from the bakery but was never willing to help. The position is way underpaid and you don’t get any tips. This position isn’t worth it all. The cleaning at the end of the shift is awful. I worked here for a month and quit because i through my back out and strained a heck muscle. It was awful and I wouldn’t recommend it. Get a serving job. Better money and hours, less standing in one spot and no cleaning after the shift.

My experience working at cheese cake factory has been nothing but great I love my job I get along with all my managers and coworkers I had the best GM in the world at Dadeland

The job is 100% not worth students please do not work here

This job was probably my worst job ever. The pay was 100% not worth it. I would work 8 hour shifts and my paychecks would come out to 350-450 dollars. The job is demanding servers are rude and impatient and you make 0 tip.

A lot of work but can be fun

Co workers can be fun. I feel like you do so much work though to not be payed a lot. Would leave extremely tired. Thankfully got to become opening shift baker and became a lot more enjoyable

Fine for first restaurant job, bad managers

Very corporate and Amazon-esque in that the guests are prioratized at the expense of the worker. Busy and frantic. They aren't above paying newbies more than established employees if hiring isn't going well and they need incentives. Overall negative impact on me, but my coworkers were nice and it got me my first restaurant experience.

Stressful Atmosphere

Worked at the Orlando-Millenia location and weekends there were brutal. Bakery was full of drama and there was essentially no real foundation set for me as the "seasoned" bakers just bully you and call it training. D... (rhymes with paprika) needs a serious reality check. Not to mention you have no lunch break so you're on your feet the whole shift trying not to pass out. 0/10 do not recommend.

Dehumanizing, wouldn't recommend.

My time there was awful, first off I was getting paid a dollar less than what I was promised, managers are little to no help, a lot of the managers will just shoo you away if they don't want to help you out, even if you need their help urgently. The coworkers are 50/50, half of them are really good people who obviously care about what they do, and then the other half will talk bad about you behind your back and everytime you have to work with them, it's so painfully awkward, and finally, me personally I didn't feel like I was being treated the same as my coworkers, I was treated like I was dumb and immature. Wouldn't recommend, I never felt supported there. Just a body to do a shift.

Good environment

Fast paced environment. Definitely physical work. Coworkers are awesome and help out. Managers - some are great, some good and some are there for the paycheck only.

Horrendous

• scheduled me from 4pm-10pm and I would often be there until 2am• unable to sit down for duration of shift • compensation ≠ amount of work• management scheduled me for days that I said I was unable to work, such as during my classes. • no room for error so it’s best to get it right the first time

The people you work with will be some of the best people we are like a family but when it comes to the management staff that’s another story they don’t care about there staff only the ones who they think are important

Has it's pros and cons!

I loved working here for the two months that I did, the staff was genuine and sweet and always looking to help out where they could! :) However, some of the managers were unnecessarily rude for no reason and made it a lot harder to want to come into work. The easiest job is pulling cakes out, but be warned that it does get extremely busy often and you will be swarmed with tickets!

the way the company trains is awful. for bakers you get 5 days (shifts) before you are completely on your own on daily shifts and expected to know everything by then. coworkers are amazing and helpful and management is generally good, just depends on your location.
