Hard to move up levels, as a kitchen manager the hours are long but the staff make it very rewarding. There is a lot of appreciation for the staff and they are celebrated for the work they do

They don’t care if you have a life outside of work. They expect you to work everyday, one day off. You Only get One break (30min) out of 10-15 hours.

High stress/High reward

Managing is very stressful, but also one of the best paying positions available for restaurant management. Work/Life balance is hard to do with the amount of turnover currently in the industry, post-covid. Great benefits and room for growth.

Productive

Very good place to work, houston location was where I was employed. Lots of opportunities for growth. Flexible schedule, coworkers were very respectful.

Not bad, just not paid enough

I enjoy working at Cheesecake Factory, Towson. The management could improve but in terms of compensation it truly depends on the job you are working. The bakery does not get paid enough for the amount of stress and disrespect they are put under. I would suggest working as a cashier or to-go.

Fun people to work with

It was a great experience. If every table tipped 20% you’d make $250 easy. Tip pool was a joke though. Even if all tables didnt tip 20%, the same percentage came out of your tips to the bussers.

At the Seattle location I had a blast.Don’t work at Seaport.

I recently moved from California to my home state of Washington.Transferred locations from Seaport to Seattle.Do not work at the Seaport location.Nothing but toxicity,poor management,zero appreciation for employees and a lack of communication.Instead of transferring my things to Seattle they terminated me,screwing up my payroll and causing a ridiculous amount of unnecessary stress.The employees are toxic and rude and management is clueless and doesn’t care.I wouldn’t recommend working there if you’re trans or LGBTQ+ they will make life terrible for you.

Good restaurant experience

Overall it was a good experience and I learned a lot, but the management is a little back and forth. They will make you feel valued as a person but they honor seniority rather than work ethic which is a little upsetting when trying to move up throughout the company. If you’re comfortable staying in one position then I think it’s a great job. Very flexible with time off and releasing and picking up shifts which I really appreciate. And the majority of the co workers and staff I worked with were great people and made the overall experience that much better. If you have a good team of people and good managers on deck you’ll absolutely love the job. It’s a great experience.

This is just a job to get u on your feet not a career. They don't promote there good work as fast as someone new if the good worker even gets the promotion. They don't look at u as a person you are just a body to them. No mater what they say this is not a a good job ND also no a equal opportunity job.

Buena empresa para trabajar, hay bien sueldo, buena propina.Hay crecimiento dentro de la empresa y ya depende del desempeño de uno, por cada área aprendida había un premio.Sin duda, volvería a trabajar en este lugar.

It’s what you make of it

The job is good. Management will always depend on you and who they are as a person. If you’re not good at your job then maybe that’s why management “sucks” in your point of view . Tips are not as good? Maybe do a better job. I’m happy here for the most part but it’s what I make out of it .

Understaffed and losing people rapidly

Losing people because cause they are told one thing then asked another. Manipulation on all levels. Stay clear if wanting an honest transparency with your career

Management super condescending and like someone else said, very cliquey. Coworkers are really nice but we all deserve better. So much work for minimum pay and no free meals/hardly a discount. People hardly take breaks but get in trouble when they can’t. Save the time and find somewhere better

Clear Work/ Good food

This job has good benefits and competitive pay. Kitchen and back of house get a free shift meal and Front of House get heavily discounted shift meal. The hours are good and has a strong sense of friendly work Culture.

Toxic work environment

Unorganized and management is terrible and unqualified. They have children in grown bodies running that place. They need to fire all management and start over. Very hostile environment, they pick and choose who to be fair with. A lot of favoritism. Managers are lazy incompetent and unwilling to help. This is by far the worst restaurant I have ever worked at. Maybe try a different location but Willow Grove is not it.

Production is not aligned with excellence. A lot of organizational norms which are not outlined in SOP.

Mgrs do not manage their areas efficiently.Staff is not held accountable for the work performed or lack thereof.Staffing levels are under for the amt of wk

Fun place to work

This is an extremely busy restaurant that sees hundreds of guests a day. It's very fast paced and can be stressful at times. The guests can be a challenge, but coworkers are amazing. There's good money in the front of house if you're eilling to work.

When you 1st start there , you have to have Willingness to learn , and help your co-workers when their is an issue . The Negative part of the dish pits is staying late until 2:00am .

Good culture

The money is decent depending on how busy the location is. people always tip good it just depends on how many tables you actually get. Tip out is 4.2% to bar/busser/runner. i liked the work culture but not the mangement. cheesecake has changed due to covid all the people who been here for years left and now they just hire anybody it used to be hard to get a job here and the turnover rate was low but now its high and easy. Cheesecake isnt what it used to be before covid. also To Go makes alot of money in tips due to covid so less tips for servers.
