Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Recycling offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a Recycling Operations Supervisor to join our Lead Recycling team at Sunlight’s Athens premises.

The Recycling Operations Supervisor will supervise and lead the Lead Recycling Team, being responsible for the supply chain of the battery recycling plant, including scrap purchasing, transportation of hazardous/non-hazardous waste, sales of products and by products and waste management.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include

• Supervise the Lead Recycling Team
• Support and ensure team’s performance
• Negotiate with suppliers and customers
• Market research – Identification of potential business opportunities for scrap & waste collection in Greece and abroad
• Market research for transportation companies – Agreements/ Contracts
• Coordinate the transportation of incoming and outcoming waste material
• Coordinate sales of products and by-products of the Recycling plant
• Business development of the scrap collection, waste management and sales network
• Ensure compliance of the team’s operation with company’s policies and environmental regulation
• Communicate with local and foreign environmental authorities for the permitting of transboundary shipments of waste
• Recycle plant’s waste management

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in Economics or Engineering (Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering), or relevant degree
• MBA degree is a plus
• At least 4 years of experience in a relevant role
• Fluency in Greek & English (both verbal & written) is a must
• Knowledge of Italian and/or German is an asset
• Experience of working with SAP (ERP) system
• Excellent communication and negation skills with the ability to build trustworthy relationships
• Attention to detail, highly organized and problem resolving mentality
