Krotos designs and distributes audio software sound effects libraries which are used by top film, television, and game sound professionals worldwide. Our mission is to change the way people design and perform sound. We massively speed up and revolutionise our customers’ workflows so they can make their projects sound awesome!

We are looking for a motivated Junior Full Stack Developer to join our cross-functional team. You’ll assist in developing scalable software solutions and be involved in the full software development life cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your skills while working on innovative audio software products. You’ll work closely with experienced developers who will mentor you and help you develop your technical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Learn and contribute to our Python/Django powered backend
• Assist in implementing new features and designs in collaboration with the design team
• Help identify and fix issues and bugs in existing codebase
• Learn to create and manage databases and API integrations
• Contribute to technical documentation
• Support the audio engineering department with software improvements
• Build and maintain marketing pages through Webflow to support growth and marketing initiatives
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends and technologies
• Work with Agile methodology, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Requirements:

Essential:

• Basic knowledge of Python and Django
• Familiarity with REST APIs
• Basic understanding of AWS
• Basic experience with frontend technologies like HTMX
• Understanding of relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Proficiency with Git
• Appreciation for clean and well documented code
• Experience with Webflow

Desirable:

• Basic familiarity with React
• Understanding of continuous delivery processes and technologies (e.g., Docker, Jenkins)
• Understanding of testing principles
• Knowledge of PHP, WordPress, and WooCommerce is a plus
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch
• Interest in sound and audio production
